Why did you become a physician assistant?
I enjoy collaborating with physicians to develop individualized comprehensive care plans for each patient. As a Physician Assistant, I perform a wide range of duties, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing treatments. This makes the role diverse and allows for a significant amount of patient interaction, which is very rewarding.
What do you enjoy about Gastroenterology?
I enjoy Gastroenterology because of the variety of conditions we treat. There are aspects of both preventative medicine which I feel passionate about as well as acute visits. I enjoy the continuity of care of being able to treat patients in the hospital and then follow their recovery in the office.
What are your hobbies or personal interests?
In my spare time I enjoy reading fiction, visiting theme parks, and spending time with my dog Teddy.
