Stir-Fried Asparagus with Quinoa Noodles

Ingredients
2 bundles asparagus, washed, trimmed, and cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2 garlic cloves, slivered
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp sugar
3 1/2 tbsp vegetable stock
12 oz dried quinoa noodles
Directions
Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry ginger and garlic for a minute or two, then add asparagus.
Combine soy sauce, sugar, and stock in a small bowl and pour over asparagus. Simmer until asparagus is tender, about 3-5 minutes.
Cook noodles according to package directions and serve with stir-fried asparagus.

Romaine and Smoked Salmon Salad
Fish like salmon is are a great replacement for pork if you suffer from chronic constipation as it is relatively easily digested by the body. The romaine lettuce and carrots in this salad provide a very good source of dietary fiber which can treat constipation, and therefore also hemorrhoids.
Ingredients
- 1 small head organic romaine lettuce
- 5 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 4 radishes, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, diagonally sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and diced
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tsp fresh ginger root, peeled and minced
- 1 tbsp canola oil
Directions
- Arrange romaine lettuce on two plates. Top with salmon, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, and cucumber.
- Shake lemon juice, canola oil, and minced ginger in tightly covered jar. Pour over salad.

Rice Pudding with Blueberry Sauce
This rice pudding draws on the health benefits of brown rice, which is richer in fiber than the white variety and which is easily digested, making it a great remedy for constipation and hemorrhoids. Also, blueberries have properties that help treat constipation.
Ingredients for Rice Pudding
1 cup brown basmati rice
2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups rice milk
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tbsp potato starch
Directions for Rice Pudding
Place rice, water, and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until water is fully absorbed, about 45 minutes.
Add rice milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and stir well. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
Mix potato starch with a few drops of water in a small bowl and stir into rice mixture. Continue stirring over low heat until mixture thickens and reaches consistency of pudding, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Transfer to a large bowl, cover, and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. Serve with warm blueberry sauce.

2 cups (wild) blueberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp water
Directions for Blueberry Sauce
Crush blueberries in a small pot, and stir in sugar and water.
Bring mixture to a boil and simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Serve on rice pudding.
